Fishing Report - 26th of APRIL 2012
REEF FISHING
The Barwon banks and the gneerings, in close at the northern reefs and out wide on the southern reefs seem to be the places to wet a line of late. Local charter operators report of bagging out on Pearlies one morning last week by 9:30 am and there have been plenty of reports of grassys and a few coral trout around as well. A few late season Spanish mackerel have been around on the banks and further north on the closer reefs. The water temps are starting to drop off with colder currents pushing north so we should start to see a little more activity from snapper in close and some tuna out wide in the next few weeks.
