Fishing Report 19-9-17

The local reefs have been fishing quite well, with quite a broad spectrum of activity from the local species. Quality snapper still around the closer marks as well as the usual sweetlip. Out wide some solid cobia, parrot , tuskies, pearl perch and the odd mackerel making a showing.

Gutters are fishing well at the moment for bream, flathead, whiting and mid- sized dart. Tailor starting to thin out of late with the warmer temps coming on.

A good time to start targeting whiting now early in the season with good reports of solid fishing in the rivers. Flathead and bream still taking baits well. a few reports of mangrove jack starting to chew a few plastics in the usual haunts. trevally starting to hit the surface early morning locally.

no reports.
