Fishing Report 4-11-17

Well the recent rains we had has been great for the off shore fishing. The inner reefs have all had good reports as well as Caloundra 12 Mile and the Sunshine and Halls off Noosa. The banks have also been fishing well with the northern grounds the better. Cobia, Cod Snapper, Pearl Perch and Tusk fish have been the main catches with some nice Sweetlip and Grassies also being caught mainly on the inner reefs.

Good reports of Whiting and Dart have been reported mainly from the northern end of the coast. The Dart have been better at night and the Whiting on the low tides.

All the systems are fishing well after the recent rains. Flathead are still being caught in good numbers and size but Whiting are starting to really make their resents felt with some elbow slappers as they say being caught of late. Mangrove Jack are also being targeted and caught this time of year and reports are good and will only bet better. Best systems have been the Noosa and the Passage with the Mooloolah not far behind.

Nothing much has changed from last week with Borumba still getting the better reports. Summerset has had some good reports but mainly about Red Claw.
